  • How do you get fluff out of Velcro?

I have a really nice pair of trainers that are looking tatty due to fluff in the velcro. How do I get the fluff out?

Here we go! there are so many resources you can use, but the easiest way depending on size of the velcro mind you, you are better off using your hands....I work with velcro on my job and fluff is quite simple to remove. some people are just too lazy to do it that way but give it a try.

  • Do VELCRO ROLLERS work? HOW DO I USE THEM?

my hair is an inch below my shoulders it has layers with the shortest layer being middle and the cheek (on my face) and when dried naturally my hair is flat, frizzy, and curly i want

Velcro Rollers are great for the look you want. The only problem is that your have to put them in while your hair is wet so it can dry that way, which either means getting really early or sleeping in them. I have a hard time sleeping in them, so I made the splurge for hot rollers instead. You can get a set for $20 or so at walmart. You have to use them with completely dry hair, but in 10 minutes they're cool and ready to take out. Fast and easy! But if you feel comfortable sleeping in rollers, here's how to use them. Keep in mind the bigger rollers your use, the more volume you get, the smaller rollers give more curl. Also keep in mind that your hair should go around any given roller 1.5 times. Here's the professional way to use roller, since I'm a professional, lol. Always roll your hair the direction you want it to go in the end. Take sections of hair no bigger than the roller. I don't care if you have 4 hairs on that roller, it won't work right if you put too big of a base section on it. Then comb the section the opposite way you want it to go at about a 45 degree angle (this is called overdirecting and gives maximum volume). Hold the roller at the ends of your hair and start rolling the opposite way your combed your hair. For example, if you want to do your bangs, obviously you'd want them to come forward in the end, so you would comb them backwards, and roll them forward the direction you want them to go. Velcro rollers work, well, like velcro. They just stick. Although it is kind of a pain to get them out without making some frizzies. Make sure you use a gel before putting them in. The same is true for hot rollers, except they need to be clipped to stay in place. Most come with these oversized hair pin looking things that I can't figure out, so I just use butterfly clips to hold them. It's only 10 minutes, lol. Now, with hot rollers, I would put a mousse in your hair while its wet, blow it dry, then use the rollers. Don't use hairspray before you put them in, it just gets them all sticky. Wait until you've taken them out to spray your hair. I hope this has helped you and good luck!

  • Whats more useful: velcro or tie-back baby bibs?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and buying baby stuff as you do. I'm just very unsure on what is more useful velcro or tieback bibs, I've heard pros and cons for each, such as with

Bare in mind that bibs are not only used during feeding time but teething time. And that you don't have to limit yourself to one kind of anything for your baby. Pacifiers (if you use), bibs, diapers, wipes, bottles, foods...ect. I have a 6 month old who started the teething symptoms at 3 months old. I preferred the plastic backed velcro ones, but that's because they are plastic backed and they keep her clothes dryer. I have some of each. I have plastic backed velcro, soft back velcro and tie neck ones. I actually like the tie neck ones, and no my daughter does not strangle herself with it, she does pull on it but nothing to hurt herself. With the tie necks I would not leave my child unattended with one on, that is why I use velcro plastic back while she is teething.

  • Are Shetland Sheepdogs 'velcro dogs'?

I'm just doing a bit of research on them, and I read that they love to follow their owner/family around. I currently have a Husky so we are used to a very independent dog that

Shelties are a Herding breed and thus are prone to stick by their owners side. If you mean does it jump on your lab when you are sitting, cry when you leave it, insist upon attention 24/7, that depends upon how good you are at training it. I've had 12 Shelties, and more than that in my training classes. I don't see any of the kind of "lap dog" velcro temperament in any Sheltie I've ever had, however they are focused fairly closely on their owners because they are a Herding breed. This is not an independent dog like a Husky, but it isn't a "foo foo" dog like many of the toy breeds either. EDIT: Shelties are not supposed to be timid. It's against the standard and means the Sheltie is poorly bred. The standard calls for "reserved" meaning not making up to just anyone, but being timid or afraid is not supposed to be a Sheltie temperament.

  • Is It Wrong That I Prefer Velcro Shoes?

Is it wrong that, for my kids (age 2½ and 4½), and even for my own self, I STRONGLY prefer velcro shoes to tying? My grown (70 year-old) mother & I got in an argument about this, she

I have 2 kids, 3 and 1 1/2, and i always get Velcro shoes. So long as they learn how to tie their shoes, its no big deal. I wear flip-flops because I figure the same as you: it does the job, so why bother with actual shoes? Velcro is easier. and quicker too when you want to get out of the house quickly

  • What is your experience with velcro hockey garters as opposed to traditional clip type?

Is it wrong that, for my kids (age 2½ and 4½), and even for my own self, I STRONGLY prefer velcro shoes to tying? My grown (70 year-old) mother & I got in an argument about this, she

Velcros is simple and easy enough, but over time, it gets worn and fibers jam it, so it doesn't work as well. If you don't mind replacing them every so often, Velcro is nice. I'm a real garters man, though. (Jeez, that didn't sound very manly, did it?)

  • Where can I get velcro sticky pads?

I've searched the internet and looked on some websites of companies like Staples but I can't find what I'm looking for. OK this is what they are... Small, thin,

try either a hobby shop, hardware store, or fabric store to get adhesive velcro which can be applied to most anything

  • Why dont more people wear velcro shoes? (in terms of macro economics)? Its for an extra credit answer in class?

Please answer in terms of economics

The most popular applications of Velcro in the shoe industry have been in shoes for children and for the elderly and infirm (because they don't require manipulating a shoelace) Velcro fasteners on footwear are associated in the public mind with incompetence and fragility. Who wants to be seen that way. They also tend to be less fashionably designed, but that is no doubt related to the above.

  • Ladies.....would you date a guy who wore velcro shoes?

    and a helmet

The velcro shoes, I wouldn't mind, but I don't know about a helmet, unless he had a brain injury♥
