Sacred 2: Fallen Angel

T Energy has been flowing through Ancaria since time itself. This mysterious power forms the beginning of all life, is the source of all magic and the origin of all thought. For an era, it was the angelic Seraphim who watched over the T Energy and therefore over the fate of the entire world. They passed their knowledge on to the High Elves, so that they could benefit from T Energy. But the High Elves let the power over T Energy tear their society apart, and war and strife broke out. Worse than that, the T Energy itself went out of control, turning negative and creating destructive evil in the land. The nobility as well as the clerical caste of the High Elves struggled to seize power over the high-elvish imperium, so that they alone might hold the T Power in their rule. The land once more faced with war; a war that was much larger, and more far reaching consequences than all previous wars and battles. Two thousand years before Shaddar the cry for heroes arises to avert this war and to regain control over the T Energy. Will those heroes prevent the world lapsing into final chaos, or will they instead deepen it with their actions?

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is an action role-playing game. It is the second full game in the Sacred video game series. It is a prequel which takes place 2,000 years before the events of Sacred. Like its predecessor, the game takes place in a fantasy setting. A new game engine allows the game to be rendered in perspective correct 3D, while retaining the viewpoint found in older isometric games. Video game designer Bob Bates has been involved in its production. Power metal band Blind Guardian wrote the song "Sacred Worlds" as the theme for the game and also make an appearance as characters.

The PC version was released in late 2008, the console versions were delayed until 2009 with the discs being pressed in April 2009 for a May release, in April the developer, Ascaron, went into administration citing the extended development as the reason. An add-on titled Ice & Blood was released October 2 for European PC players only. Support for the US PC version has been taken over by Deep Silver, though all support for current and future expansions and console versions in the US has been dropped.

A mysterious and volatile substance called T-Energy is the source of all life and magic in Ancaria. It was originally solely under the control of the ancient race of Seraphim. However, over time as they lost interest in the world they gave some of their control to the High Elves. With this power, the High Elves quickly became the dominant race of Ancaria.

Questions & Answers

  • Should I buy Sacred 2 Fallen Angel?

I wanted an rpg game this weekend & I thought of Sacred 2, but is it worth buying? I heard the level cap is 200, which is amasing! I also heard that after 30 hours of gameplay,

sacred 2 is ....a good game...but its not that great...sure the lvl cap is 200 good luck getting there since it takes forever to lvl up which is guess is kinda nice... but there little to no storyline ..at all...theres about 500 quest but their mostly are composed of fitch quest or extermination type quest all which are kinda bland the online is crappy since the servers will disconnect u regularly even with a really great connection. its like diablo 2 but not as awesome as diablo 2..so i recommend renting it first...if you need an rpg fix just wait till feb and mar theres white knight chronicals, star ocean 4, resonance of fate, and final fantasy 13 all which i am sure will be better rpgs than sacred 2...

  • IS SACRED 2 WORTH BUYING?

is sacred 2: fallen angel worth buying? And does anyone in the UK know where i can buy a copy of Oblivion cheap?

sacred 2: fallen angel is a great game that plays exactly like the old Diablo for the PS1(if you every played it, it was fun). You play one of six different character classes, and choose if you are going to play a good campaign or an evil campaign. You are allowed to have up to 8 different characters at a time. The cool thing with this is that there is a hero box in the cities that you can put items that you find into it with one character quit with that character and load up one of your other characters and retrieve the item you just put in there with your other character. p

  • Fallen Angel Sacred 2 or Gothic 2?

I'm looking to buy a good game and are struggling between these two- which do you recommend?

Depends on the style of game you want. Fallen Angel Sacred 2 is comparable to Diablo. Basically a rather linear Hack-n-Slash dungeon crawler doing quests for various people for cash and upgrading equipment. I think it's more fun with a second player, but that's just me. Gothic 2 is more comparable to an Elder Scrolls game. Start with nothing, but gaining skills in magic, thievery and/or martial abilities, choosing which of 3 paths to take, open world, etc. Between them, I enjoyed Gothic 2 far more. It was more satisfying, had more replay value, etc, and I'm not quite as fond of Hack-n-Slash dungeon crawlers as I used to be.

  • What kind of game is Sacred 2: Fallen Angel?

Hi, i just wanted to know what kind of game Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is. is it like a mmorpg like Runescape. Or is it more like Fable 2 where it is just you in an open world. Thanks

you are in an open world which is 22 square miles.there are 6 different characters to pick from, you also choose to play either the light side or shadow side,in other words good or evil.there are tons of dungeons to explore and tons of quests to do.your opponents progress as you do.you can play this in single player or multi player or go online and challenge people there.i bought this game last year for the pc but haven't gotten that far because i was also playing sacred plus and diablo 2.hope this helps.

  • Does anyone still play Sacred 2 Fallen Angel?

I have completed Skyrim. However, I have trophies that I still need in Sacred 2 Fallen Angel. Does anyone still play online???

if you don't get any one here, try checking a sacred 2 forum from gamefaqs to see if you can find some one there.unfortunately i have it for the pc,sorry.hope this helps.

  • What is Sacred 2: Fallen Angel like?

and how much is it in austraila

Sacred 2 is a VERY fun game. It is kind of a mix between a dungeon crawler, MMO, and hack n slash. The map is insanely big, story is decent, and there is multi player online. Very cool game. One of my top favs. It is not your traditional RPG, but very worth getting into. Usually retails for $60. I bought mine for $42 at gogamer dot com. Good luck!

  • Sacred 2:Fallen Angel Shadow Warrior Build Help!!!!!!?

I need to know which skills should be first or in order ( 1 being the first skill to be selected). Also, how many points should be put in to them until level 200. Death Warrior

I'd put them in this order... 1) Death Warrior/Malevolent Champion Right off the bat I like to grab a skill set focus to boost my CAs and to start getting all important CA modification points. Pick whichever one you like more, I personally think Death Warrior is better for solo and all around play but Malevolent Champion is still good and has some great abilities for online play. 2)Hafted Weapons Good for opening up weapon type specific abilities and increasing your base line damage. 3) Armor Lore Again great for opening up armor lore specific abilities. 4) Death Warrior/Malevolent Champion 5) Speed Lore 6) Tactics Lore 7) Constitution 8) Concentration 9) Combat Discipline 10) Divine Devotion Your early choices make the biggest difference I think. Your first couple of plays are the toughest so it's important to lay the ground work early IMO. I'd try to focus on a small handful of skills until you get to the 75 point mastery, like your first 3, and then revisit the others once you hit the mastery on those. All of them short of the ones I'm about to mention I'd try to get at least the mastery for and then after that try to get some to 200 one at a time. If I was you I'd skip Divine Devotion and maybe take Toughness. The deity abilities really aren't all that great, I consider it a wasted skill. Depending on how you choose to use your skills you may also be able to live without Combat Discipline. Combat Discipline can be amazing you just need to keep in mind it only applies to CAs in combos. I can't recall off the top of my head but I don't remember the Shadow Warrior having any particularly amazing combo-worthy abilities. I think you should definitely lose one or the other though, I highly recommend losing Divine Devotion, for Toughness.

  • Which game is better between Dragon Age: Origins and Sacred 2: Fallen Angels?

I'm trying to decide which game I should get. It's between Dragon Age: Origins and Sacred 2: Fallen Angels. I want the one that takes like forever to finish and that is fun

Sacred 2: Fallen Angels if yor wonting a game like WOW ive pot a vid in the source list for u if u wona look. and i no its not 1 of the games u sayd but Final Fantasy online XI is like WOW in more ways but u have to pay for it =(

  • Why is Sacred 2 :fallen angel rated mature ?

and is it suitable for a 12 years old ? is it just the gore thing? or is it like GTA shouldn't be touched by a kid?

Probably just the gore as on old Sacred when you killed enemies a arm would pop off and blood would shoot out. I'd say it's suitable for a 12 year old as it isn't major blood and worse stuff is on TV.

  • Sacred 2: The Fallen Angel HELP!?

For a Dual Wielding character (inquisitor to be specific) what attribute points is most effecient dex or str? I already have one at lvl 11 with pure dex but Ive read somewhere that

Glad to see someone still plays this overlooked gem... I do not personally know. However, head on over to Gamespot.com and search up Sacred 2 in the taskbar. Once you get to the game's profile page, click on "Hints & Chests" on the left side of the screen, the scroll down to the bottom- you'll find a section with a few different FAQ/Walkthrough/guides. These guides should have everything you need to know.
